The gardener told me this morning that the homeless guy who hung around Super Lake (American) died Tuesday. Has anyone else heard this?

Wonder what happened to his dogs. Hope they are not wandering around starving.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of, he had a trailer and was squatting some where West of Ajijic. Although he liked the east side, San Antonio etc. He had asked me to help him out with either moving the trailer or atleast getting him some power for a light bulb or two. Finally, I agreed to send a worker and pick-up truck out and see if he could help him maybe move the trailer. He reported back that there was nothing he could do, the trialer was in really bad shape. He also told me he had minimum 10 dogs out there. My worker has since moved away, so I have no idea where this place is. Hopefully the dogs were outside, not locked up. I also think this is the same guy, because he often told me about the bus not stopping for him, because he played music in hope of tips, people got upset... Anyways, he obviously had or has a mental illness, as do 90% of our homeless populations in the U.S and Canada. I hope he's not remembered to harshly.

Ajijic Ron, your compassion is commendable.

I think his name was Jim, but I'm not positive. He had a beautiful voice. He used to sing outside of SL for money. He kept collecting dogs and we would give him money for dog food.I have heard that his parents live here but I don't know that for sure. He also asked us to move the trailer, which was parked on a concession across the street and to the west of us. We weren't able to help him move it. It seemed he had such a struggle trying to find where to live and how to take care of himself and his dogs.

he was dangerous, i have no compassion. there were many women who were threatened as he could be confrontational. also i have never seen a bus NOT stop for him.

I saw him a week ago in a Joco carniceria. Sitting reading a paper. Left alone by everyone.

Are you talking about the thin, kind of blond guy? I thought his name was Roger. I've been told he was bipolar. He had lots of dogs as described.

His name is Jimmy and I saw him around Super Lake about a week ago. I always thought his dogs looked pretty healthy.

If he is the thin, blonde-haired guy that sings, whistles and plays South American songs on his flute and always wears a tan leather backpack, he is indeed alive and seen daily in Jocotepec on the Plaza. I saw him there yesterday.
