At the request of several readers, the moderators have asked our hosts to allow announcements of music events (including music groups, music acts, kareoke, etc.)on this forum.

We would prefer that a member of the band post these announcements. Include the place, date and time of the gig, as well as any information regarding minimum or cover charges. If a band member cannot post, a "friend" can make the posting for them.

Music groups that play in the Lakeside area on a regular basis are welcome to start a thread with the name of their act in the subject line. They can update that thread as needed - at most, weekly. This should be helpful for fans who want to go hear a specific act.
