Upper Ajijic lays north of the Ajijic village. Within the past 15 years new houses condos, gated communities have popped up, along with a few restaurants and art galleries. In the village below there are many boutiques, more restaurants a bank and much more at your finger tips, all within walking distance.

Many of the houses have bougainvillea peeking over the top of the walls. All these homes have a birds-eye view of Lake Chapala and the mountains beyond the lake.

At night you can see the twinkling lights of the villages across the lake. What a beautiful sight both day and night.
