Upper La Floresta

UPPER LA FLORESTA
Closest to Ajijic

Is on the north side of the highway. It is quite similar to Lower Floresta except it doesn't have the mini glorietas (roundabouts). This area has 24 hour surveillance cruising around in vehicles making sure all is well.

At the top of the hill and close to the mountain is a Catholic church and next to the church is a small hospital and clinic.
Most of the houses are walled in and some are free standing. Some of the homes are week end hide-aways for the people from Guadalajara. The older houses in Upper La Floresta that are Mexican owned have been handed down from generation to generation.
