Graham David Worley
(1930 to 2008)
Lawyer, Writer, Runner, Q.C.
Gentleman Extraordinaire

At an impasse with a most courageous fight with a rare cancer, Graham, at 77 years young, relented on the anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 2008. He died peacefully in the presence of his family, including Bella, and accompanied by a musical therapist playing the classical guitar. He was the beloved husband of Deirdre, cherished father of Amanda, Alison and Kristen, esteemed father-in-law of Mark Overbury and beguiled grandfather of Hartley and Madison. Honoring his wish, there was a private family service and cremation at St. James-the-Less Chapel in Cabbagetown, on Tuesday, June 10. The family received friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11th. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requested that donations be made to Wellspring which can be reached at donations@wellspring.ca
(Ed. Note: For many years, Graham was a highly esteemed literary contributor to these pages, as well as a member of the Ajijic Writers’ Group. He will be remembered here at Lakeside as a wonderful writer, an elegant and witty gentleman and an attorney who lent class and integrity to a profession often in sore need of such qualities Bon voyage, Graham.)
