Ever notice those street dogs in the village? You know, they’ll be lazing on some shady stoop with their paws crossed, grinning idiotically, eyes half-closed, and then suddenly the head will jerk up and the eyes become alert. A yellow lightbulb appears over the ears. They have had an Idea. “I think I’ll go visit Spot,” (or the Mexican equivalent). So they jump up and trot a few doors down to find their pal, Spot. Ten minutes later the two of them can be observed jauntily ambling over to Rover’s house to see what Rover is having for lunch. They hang around and have fun together, whether relaxing or playing.
Reminds me of their local human counterparts.
