Living in Mexico

You know those brushfires they set in the hot, dry months every year? My husband Lonny always claimed they were under control. "It's really the only way to clear the land," he would tell me every year, as I worried over billows of smoke which always seemed headed our way. Well, after living almost 23 years here, we finally saw a brushfire get out of control - right next to our own casita! The blackened ground is already green, but it was still a sobering experience. We were away at the time, and if it hadn't been for the quick thinking and hard work of our neighbor's wonderful all-around helper Job Ramos, the fire might have destroyed not only our little casita, but our house and martial arts school as well. So be advised: they can control the fire, but they' can't control the direction of the breeze.
Thank you, Job!
