Us July 4 Celebration

Monday, July 4, the Chapala American Legion Post 7 invited everyone to the post home at 114 Morelos in Chapala, to a celebration in honor of American Independence Day. The American Revolutionary War 1977-1783 was waged to gain freedom from British rule, and was the first great and successful revolt of the colonies of any country. On this day the red, white and blue of the US flag took precedence over all else; some fingernails were even painted in the three colors. Everyone enjoyed the camaraderie, the picnic & pork ribs bbq, and dancing to the music of Quinn Hamlin and his group. The Legion brings the celebration of the most important holiday in the US to the enjoyment of all who wish to attend.
