Bill
& Linda Cline
This
popular Lakeside couple who are relocating to Texas, received a rousing
send-off at a party for ninety-plus Lakesiders at the Haciendas home of
Maxcine Tate, and hosted by Maxcine, Ann & John Denner, Wayne &
Mary Schazrda and Doris & Bill Barfield. Live entertainment was supplied
by guitarist Robert Cerda and trumpet player Jimmy Barto. It was a wonderfully
happy day filled with congenial people, excellent food and choice of beverages,
dancing, greeting old friends and making new ones. The Cline’s arrived
in Ajijic July 2001, and were active participants in many of the fundraisers
around town. Though Bill was still working for his US-based company, he
took time out to help fundraising activities when he could. He may be
remembered as the hula-skirt-wearer playing a ukulele at a fundraiser
given by the American Legion Post 7 last year. Linda worked on many committees
to raise funds for the Red Cross, Casa Ancianos and educational projects.
The Clines promise that when the time is right for retirement, Ajijic
will be their number one choice.
