Signing In
* Okay, everybody,
listen here. I went to a great party last month. Towards the end, I
said hello to a woman who looked familiar. She said, “Hi Cindy,
my name’s (whatever it was). We’ve met, but I wouldn’t
expect you to remember me.” Sounds fine, right? But it wasn’t,
I could tell.
I happen to know that everybody
has the same problem here… our resort community is chock full
of us expats and we all look pretty much alike. Nobody except my mom
goes home and writes down your name and a physical description of you,
(once a secretary, always a secretary). So I hereby propose we all cut
each other some slack.
Personally, I gave up memorizing
names years ago. But I still adore my friends and enjoy them immensely,
even if I do call them “Hey-You.” I’ll say it again:
We’re in this together, folks.
Cindy
