      * Sandy Vandermeer is coming back to the New Posada December 2 and 3 at 7:30 pm. Tickets, at 125 pesos, give you a 10% discount on a la carte dining and non-happy hour drinks. Make reservations at (376)766-1444. Sandy is presenting boleros, American romantic standards and an international Christmas potpourri.

      * Guess what! There’s a new eating-out guide for Lakeside! Just in time for all of us who have sworn off cooking (at least for a while). It rates the food, service and ambience for almost 100 restaurants as well as the principal eateries in Guadalajara. You can buy it at the LCS for 55 pesos, or at selected restaurants. Ten percent of the net buys Spanish books for the Wilkes Biblioteca. More info: 766-1801.
      * Dr. Jacob Liberman, author of Light: Medicine of the Future, describes the body as a living photocell, stimulated and regulated by light. Learn how Infrared and Far Infrared light are being applied to promote health and well-being. Julie D’Costa shares December 16 at noon at the LCS.
