Cincuenta Artistas, expresión plástica en la ribera de Chapala, includes the works of many of the artists who have lived in the lakeside area and who have chosen to participate in this publication.

This book is the first known history of fine arts in the area.
Our goal is to help the viewer understand the artists inspiration by looking beyond the subject into the process used by the artist.

We owe the expressive wealth of the work gathered here to the creativity of a diverse group of artists. Their contribution derives in part from the culture and plastic concepts of each individual’s homeland , melting whit those of the area in which they chose to settle.
