The comedy, “Bermuda Avenue Triangle” directed by Bob (B.J.) Jones has been cast and will begin its 8-day run at LLT on February 21st. This funny play deals with Joyce Vath and Liz Powell in the roles of two older ladies, vying for the love of the same retired gentleman, played by Franklin Rainey. Howard Dreiceris the Rabbi and Linda Richardson and Christy Chandler are cast in the part of the daughters. Mary Prud’homme is the stage manager. Jones’ last directional stint at LLT was the hilarious, “I Hate Hamlet.”
LOIS VLAHOV, suffering from ill health has had to withdraw as director of the last play of the season and her vehicle will be replaced by “Love Letters” starring Richard Vath and Joyce Langford. The concept was done by the couple several years ago and was well received playing to full houses.
OPENING on March 20th will be Arsenic and Old Lace, an old but durable classic directed by Anya Flesh.
TWO lighting workshops are scheduled for February. Diane Woods will conduct a hands on learning the art of theater lighting using color to create special effects. Included will be working the dimmer board, patching, working with the director and set designers. Come to the theater for this interesting class on Feb. 5th from 10-12. A beginners class in lighting is scheduled on February 26th from 10-11:30.
THE Auditorio will be a busy place this month. On February 8th MAS will present An Ensemble International featuring 20 musicians and three soloists. This has been an outstanding season for the Society.
